Chapter 6 Editing - There's more than one way to create a document
vi -
'vi' is one of the traditional UNIX text editors. It can take a while
to get used to but has a lot of features. There are a number of online
tutorials and guides. Here are a few:

pico -
Pico is a rudimentary text editor that comes with and is used in the
'pine' email system, but it can be used as a general purpose text editor
by just entering the command 'pico'. It's much easier to get started with
than 'vi' and is more useful for short documents or programs. You will not
really need them, but there are a number of online tutorials and guides.
One of its nicest features is that the keystroke commands are always
visible at the bottom of your screen. An example is shown here.
^G Get Help ^O WriteOut ^R Read File ^Y Prev Pg ^K Cut Text ^C Cur Pos
^X Exit ^J Justify ^W Where is ^V Next Pg ^U UnCut Text ^T To Spell
