How to Get Your VPN Account and Software
1. You will need your NetID for the VPN application.
2. Fill out the form Request for VPN Account
Return it to Irv Eisen, irv at geri.duke.edu, or to room 1501, Duke
South Blue Zone.
3. When you receive your VPN username and password go to the DUHS VPN page
Read the policy and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Note Well: Before installing the VPN client, you must exit all Windows programs,
including personal firewalls, anti-virus and anti-spyware.
4. Click on the appropriate client for your system. In the 'Security
Warning' click the 'RUN' button. When it asks if you are sure, click
'RUN' again. In the WinZip Self Extractor window click 'Run WinZip'.
You will get a list of files. Click 'Extract' and extract all files
into their own folder. Create a new one if you need to.
5. Go to that folder and double click 'Setup.exe'.
6. Follow the instructions and accept the defaults. Click 'Continue
Anyway' at the serious looking messages about Windows Logo Testing.
When the program installation is complete, you will be asked to reboot.
Allow the computer to reboot before continuing.
7. After your computer reboots you will need to Configure the VPN Client
