How to Change your Password/s on the Aging Center's
Windows File Server
Because this computer functions as a server within a server, ie.
Windows within UNIX, you will need to enter two commands to change your
password.
1. Using the F-Secure SSH client, log onto the host
CFAFILES.DUHS.DUKE.EDU. Remember that you can use the same password for
all of your secure Duke accounts.
Helpful Tip: If you use the same username and password on the file server
that you use on your pc, your network drives will connect automatically
each time you log on to your pc.
2. Enter the command 'smbpasswd'. You will be prompted for your old
password, then you will be asked for your new password twice.
3. Enter the command 'passwd'. Again, you will be prompted for your old
password, and you will be asked for your new password twice.
