Codebook for the 1998 cross-sectional dataset
--- This dataset includes 8959 respondents aged 80+ plus 34 respondents whose ages were younger than 80 who were first interviewed in 1998 (200 elders were interviewed in 1999). A cross-sectional weight is included in the released dataset. Please refer to Technical Reports regarding how the weight is generated in the CLHLS and how to use weight in the analysis. Please read the specification in the codebook before use this dataset.
Codebook for the 2000 cross-sectional dataset
--- This dataset includes 11,161 respondents aged 80+ who were interviewed in 2000 (4,824 first interviewed in 1998 and 6,337 first interviewed in 2000). A cross-sectional weight is included in the released dataset. Please refer to Technical Reports regarding how the weight is generated in the CLHLS and how to use weight in the analysis. Please read the specification in the codebook before use this dataset.
Codebook for the 2002 cross-sectional dataset

A cross-sectional weight is included in the released dataset. Please refer to Technical Reports regarding how the weight is generated in the CLHLS and how to use weight in the analysis. Please read the specification in the codebook before use this dataset
Codebook for the 2005 cross-sectional dataset

Twenty-five subjects whose ages are younger than 65. A cross-sectional weight is included in the released dataset. Please refer to Technical Reports regarding how the weight is generated in the CLHLS and how to use weight in the analysis. Please read the specification in the codebook before use this dataset.
